This past weekend the team met up and started working on putting final touches on the design for the project and concluded what materials will be used. A list of materials needed to be ordered was created and the parts were ordered later in the day on Saturday.
Here are the parts that were ordered:
- 9V battery adapter for the arduino
- two types of thermoucouples
- Arduino Uno board

Interesting Videos
Below are a few videos of projects that involve some type of Arduino process that the team found interesting.
Here is a video that is related to the project that we found interesting and useful.
This video was a really cool way to see the arduino processor utilized.
Here is a third video showing a different way the arduino can be used as a temperature sensor.

Project Overview
Welcome to the Would You Like Fries With That team page. This page is all about two of Engineering student's favorite things. Food and technology. This page will be used to describe the project, the thoughts and ideas behind it, and the production of the final design.
Everyone has had a burger at some point in their life. Most people do not remember most burgers they have eaten except for the very bad ones that were very under or overcooked. We on team Would You Like Fries With That are here to try and solve that problem. Our design is very simple but hopefully effective. The main processing power behind this device is the Sparkfun version of the Arduino Uno processing board. The board will be powered using a detachable battery and will be connected to a temperature sensor and varying LED lights. The temperature sensor will send a signal to the processing board when the center of the burger has reached the desired temperature for maximum deliciousness and will cause the led to light up. All of this except for the temperature sensor and wires will be housed inside a box with a logo of the team laser printed on top.
